Nusa Dua in Bali is about luxury resort hotels - we help you find the best and at the lowest rate plus all our direct earnings go to a Balinese children’s charity. Nusa Dua was wasteland on the Bukit Peninsula of Bali until the government owned Bali Tourism Development Corporation bought the area and started building in 1976, with the first resort, the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel, being completed in 1983. Many other resorts, restaurants, shops and tourist areas were subsequently built, mostly within a gated community area accessed by three gated entrances providing guests with security but also isolation from the real Bali outside. Just to the north of Nusa Dua is the Tanjung Benoa peninsula on which many budget, as well as more luxury hotels have been built. The original fishing village of Tanjung Benoa is now all but gone, replaced by water sports operators.
